Description
The word "VITAMIN" is derived from the Latin word "VITA" which means "VITALITY" or "LIFE". Indeed, our life would not be possible without vitamins. The app works on Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and M1 Mac. Measurements are synced among devices via your iCloud and Apple Health app. On the first run, you would be asked if you want the app to read nutrients data from your health app. Each vitamin and mineral defaults to a recommended daily average for an adult. The app would not allow entering values above the tolerable upper intake level. Currently, the app does not take into consideration sex and age. A list of foods, recommended by the USA National Institute of Health, is shown for each vitamin and mineral. Older measurements are grouped into average monthly readings to give you a better overview of years and months. WatchOS app supports all watch faces with useful information about dates when you took nutrients last. We do not send your data to our servers, we do not share with any 3rd party, and will never be used for advertisement purposes. Your data is only stored on your Apple service (Apple Health store and iCloud). We do NOT store your data on our servers. Information about nutrients is taken directly from the USA National Institute of Health and the 3rd edition of Nutrition for Health and Health Care book by E. Whitney. MISSION: Since the first release of Apple Health, many of us have wanted an easier way to enter our health and wellness data, especially on wearable devices. At first, a couple of apps were engineered for internal use. The apps helped many of us stay healthy and informed. In 2020, a year of change and unprecedented challenges, to inspire hope, and contribute to the health and well-being of people, we decided to share apps with the world. Free of charge, with zero ADs, and no in-app purchases. We sincerely hope these apps would help people to have a better, healthier life. If you have any suggestions on apps please share: HELP: Several people dedicated their time, for free, to design and build this app. Our resources are quite limited and we would appreciate if you report any problems you encounter as you use the app, or if you have some great ideas to improve it. Please use put that into app review on App Store so that we and other users can see it. Hopefully, with your help, we could deliver the best nutrients app ever created.
