Description
The Smart sensor kit is a stand-alone platform to evaluate and prototype Bluetooth® low energy wireless sensor designs. The kit includes one mother board with Nordic nRF51 SoC and several daughter boards with various MEMS sensors. SSK provides temperature & humidity, barometer, 3-axis accelerometer, magnetometer, gyrometer, PM2.5/pollen sensor etc. sensors’ drivers. It is plus & play. On the other hand, SSK has GPIO in each module connector. GPIOs support LED, buzzer, LCD, analog sensors, etc. The mother board gives access to all GPIO pins via 6 modularized sensor sockets. It has 2 buttons, 3LEDs, power supply plus UART over USB, current measurement pins and a Segger J-Link connector which enables program or debug. It also offers a coin-cell battery holder to meet in-site evaluation or demo requirements. SSK supports the standard Nordic Software Development Tool-chain using Keil, IAR and GCC. Program/Debug options on the kit are Segger J-Link OB for standard tool-chain. An official Product Key is assigned to SSK by Nordic, so that you can use this ID to download SDK and development documents from Nordic’s website directly. Smart Sensor Kit has boot loader in default which supports OTA-DFU. That means you can update your own firmware wirelessly. The demo apps for iOS and Android are also available. You can build your own apps easily based on these demo apps. Highlights: ・Flexible: modularity design for sensors, I²C bus. ・Quick: Standard firmware and sensors’ drivers are embedded, plug and play. ・Easy: Demo apps to get feeds from sensors in real time. ・Efficient: OTA firmware update in 10 seconds. ・Official: Supports Nordic nRF51SDK and Product ID assigned by Nordic.
