This app is awesome and the free version holds a lot of pictures. Imported pictures don’t stay in the order you add them. You can rearrange pictures by assigning them a name with a 1, then 2 in front of the name and so on, yet you can only see 25 - 30 characters. To always see the picture’s names, choose “List” in settings instead of “Thumbnail” that only shows the pictures. Newest taken picture is normally the cover pic for all folders, yet you can choose a cover picture. When you import a picture from photos, it copies it, also leaves it in photos and gives it today’s date. You can delete a picture from photos and it will still stay in this app. You can delete the picture from this app and it will still stay in photos. You can send a picture back to photos and they are now 2 separate entities. Photos will save picture with “today’s” date and place it at the “bottom” of your pictures. You can make a picture bigger with your fingers. Yet first get rid of the translucent margins at the ...

I’ve been using this app for a long time and been very happy with the control and security, it has been excellent. The last update has removed a layer of control that I find to be a step backwards. The ability to lock certain folder with an added and separate pass is a feature that made this app outstanding. Now the home page shows all folders along with an additional folder labeled “All Photos”. Opening this folder displays all photos in all folders, even the folders that had previously been protected with another layer of protection by a second pass assigned to that folder. This doesn’t allow separation of private folders from less important images such as personal information, financial data, ID and password storage, etc. If this isn’t re-evaluated by the developers I well be looking for another app that can perform this type of feature.

A few things I like about this app: The basic functionality is there, and it’s polished. . It’s a paid app, no ads but also no ongoing subscription fees. If you but the add-on, you can sync to iCloud, which most similar apps won’t do. What I don’t like: 1) It’s way too easy to accidentally hit the upgrade button, as I did, and you don’t even know how much you’re being charged for the add-on. 2) Inside photo albums there is no way to create a custom ordering of the photos by moving the images around. The only way to influence the sort order is by renaming the photos one by one, which is a lot of work. A nice-to-have would be the ability to import/export to a folder in the Files app instead of importing from albums in Photos. And when selecting photos to import from an album in Photos, it would be nice to be able to swipe over multiple photos to select them instead of having to tap each one separately. Finally, it would be helpful to be able to organize albums into folders.
