Hey guys this new app is not working at all. The lock don’t do anything, hold it three times to unlock and at the 4th time it was locking instead of unlocking, I have to use my key to get in. I’ll give you few days to fix it or I’ll returning, because what is the point to spend this kind of money if you have to use the key to enter. I am so upset if I could give you zero star I would.

Let me say, first I love this lock and would recommend it to anyone because the competition out there is really subpar IMO. But there are really some glaring issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, how are there not notifications when you’re battery is running low? If you are using the Auto Unlock in range feature or something like HomeKit, you never go into the level app. And guess what? You never know you’re batter level, until your hours away trying to remotely let someone in to look after your dog… I don’t understand why you can’t be sent a push notification when you unlock the lock and it’s low on battery. Second, thing is if you use the auto lock after 2min or 5min and you manually lock it when you return home, often it will unlock after those 2 or 5 minutes. Wildly unsafe and defeats the entire purpose of that feature. Lastly, get integrated with Google Home, it’s been over two years since it’s been on your “roadmap”.

I am all about fun new app designs, but there are a lot of little UI/UX issues in this app. Generally ‘feels’ weird, as if it’s some sort of non-native app. Not iOS’y not Android’y just weird. Design with a capital D and not enough through about experience. Specifically, switching between locks appears to want me to side swipe, but only from the very top or very bottom. The sheet to switch locations must be swiped to dismiss, but the bottom indicator is so thin and hit target so small, you’d miss it. Reselecting the same property should dismiss the sheet. The bottom bar doesn’t work here either, again dismiss the sheet. Basically the app feels frozen. I do like the addition of indicators showing if a lock is in range and how it’s connected, but that’s about it. This app should put utility and ease of use first. I am eternally grateful these are HomeKit locks because as is, I will not be using the app as often as I did, just too frustrating.
