Description
iScribe cures physician burnout and allows physicians to focus on caring for patients rather than the computer screen. iScribe is an easy-to-use app that gives providers anytime/anywhere access via iPhone, iPad, or Mac to view and enter clinical information for patients. We leverage industry leading speech-to-text technology to increase provider efficiency and productivity while eliminating expensive transcription costs. With iScribe’s real-time speech-to-text dictation feature, users can visually see the dictated text directly on the screen as they are speaking. Users can dictate directly into the appropriate sections (CC, HPI, ROS, PE, A/P) on the mobile device and save their documentation immediately into their EHR. By using the real-time speech-to-text feature, transcription costs can be eliminated. iScribe users have saved $15,000 - $25,000 per provider per year in reduced transcription costs. iScribe reduces the time that healthcare providers typically spend in the EHR allowing more time to take care of patients. Physicians can complete their encounter without having to wait until the end of the day or after office hours and there is no waiting for pending transcription. iScribe’s modern mobile user experience allows the clinical documentation to be completed at the point of care without taking away from the provider / patient experience. Healthcare provider time should not be undervalued and iScribe helps to maximize efficiency and productivity unlike any other solution available today.

There were some glitches a year or so ago, but they made changes and it’s nearly perfect, and fast! I use it in Athena, and its instantaneous. And you can’t beat the technical assistance. Those guys/gals are on it, trying their best to make it right and help you stay in the game. I was flipped out during Athena roll out. Thank goodness my Iscribe was there. They couldn’t help me with Athena, but Iscribe was constant, and had their own Athena version.

This outfit is I suspect looking to juice their numbers and sell the company. They overpromised and underdelivered. Transcriptions often weren’t completed until the next working day. They sold themselves as being able to enter orders for me on EHR, but if the orders aren’t entered while the patient is in the office then obviously the medical assistant can’t tell the patient during the visit what to expect next as far as the logistics of an upcoming test or treatment. They even proposed charging me for a minimum number of transcriptions per month which would have screwed me during months with vacation. Fortunately we negotiated that out. Transcriptionist was clearly not a native English speaker and required editing—and the performance did not improve over time, probably because my edits were never reviewed.

Dictation is very accurate and quick. Better than other systems. I have found it to be most response on the new iPad Pro 12.9 (not sure why that is). Seamless with EMR.
