(KCI), now a part of 3M, is free for use by healthcare professionals in the U.S. The app offers a suite of tools designed to improve customer support, streamline business processes, and facilitate more efficient and effective communication between healthcare professionals and V.A.C.® Therapy representatives. The iOn HEALING™ App serves to facilitate a healthcare provider’s relationship with KCI by providing the following main functions:
• V.A.C.® Therapy Orders: Place V.A.C.® Therapy or V.A.C.® Dressing & Supply orders for patient use in the home and instantly transmit them to KCI for processing of homecare orders (KCI is the Covered Entity billing for the ordered DME products)
• Manage Outcomes: Send patient’s wound assessments to KCI for DME reimbursement and claims processing (TPO)
