I feel like this isn’t authentic because I cannot use it without the app listening to my questions. There is no control test. I appreciate that this is currently free because if I paid money to test this with the result I’m getting I would have pitched a little fit. I would like to see a version with editable mic access for AB testing.

Update: So I updated the app, and it definitely has improved. The answers are clearer, and it doesn’t freeze anymore. The volume on playback still isn’t consistent so maybe that could be better. To the developers credit, he does admit the sound banks are reversed audio, and explains why in the video. All the answers aren’t clear and sometimes it’s gibberish. But after doing a web search on EVP that is expected as well. I think it’s important to go into it with an open mind as with a lot of things and not completely doubt or believe it. Try it for yourself and make your own decision.
