Description
Forger is a desktop-class 3D modeling and sculpting application for artists that want to create anywhere. Forger now pairs its award-winning sculpting toolset with the powerful polygonal modeling engine from Maxon’s venerable Cinema 4D desktop application. Forger now offers the best of both worlds in one 3D creation app: sculpting’s organic expressiveness and the exactness of hard-surface, polygonal modeling. The new Forger includes: · An intuitive multitouch interface, Apple Pencil support, draw-to-select and on-screen navigation and orientation tools gives artists an intimate, intuitive and powerful way to manifest their ideas as digital 3D creations. · A full library of polygonal primitives to get started quickly, including: cube, sphere, hemisphere, platonic, cone, pyramid, disc, cylinder, tube, oiltank, capsule, and Torus. · The full polygonal modeling engine and tools from Maxon’s Cinema 4D desktop solution, including Transform, Extrude, Bevel, Inset, Bridge, Line and Loop Cut and more. · A desktop-class sculpting workflow and brush engine that offers the power of a Desktop sculpting application, without compromises. · A large sculpting brush library: standard, clay, flatten, move, pull, smooth, pinch, inflate, crease, scrape, polish, planar, layer, stamp and mask. Each brush has an alternate function that does even more! Even use custom stamps (alphas). · Professional concept sculpting - With two powerful remeshing algorithms (volume based remeshing and edge-flow topological remeshing), the ability to cap holes, slice, split and merge sub-meshes; doing concept sculpting on a mobile device is no longer a dream. · Multi-resolution meshes - Increase the resolution of the model by multiplying the number of faces by four, whilst keeping the previous (coarser) version of the mesh as another sub-level. Step back and forth between levels to do big changes or work on details. Rebuild subdivision levels on previously subdivided meshes if importing from another software and carry on with Forger! · Sculpt layers - Work in a non destructive manner by creating layers per sub-level for quick concepting and adjusting their intensities for different results. · Advanced stylus & external keyboard support - Users can choose whether they want brushes to be affected by pressure in strength or size. Users that are used to sculpting & texturing softwares will feel at home with keyboard support, allowing them to skip the learning stage of the app due to the very commonshortcuts found in known Desktop 3D digital content creation tools. · Vertex Colors - Paint your creations with per-vertex colors for presentation purposes, use this to create rough base textures or final stylized ones. · Bidirectional model sharing between Forger and Maxon's Cinema 4D, winner of a Sci-Tech award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, offering the ultimate in workflow flexibility. · File I/O - Save your scenes to the internal scene format and use the other popular file 3D formats to import or export new models or base meshes into your favorite 3D application.

Please help me I’ve made a model which I can export. The texture will not export no matter what I do! I have more than enough memory on my iPad for it to work but it just continuously says scrolling. I have had much more intricate models that have exported yet this one just won’t! Please help!

There are really only two apps in the Apple eco system that can do sculpting and 3D painting and rendering. One is forger the other is nomad. Both were apps that you had to pay a one-time price. Forger has recently been bought by Maxon (makers of Cinema 4D). The first feature they announced to the community. Relegate the current build of forger to Classic, and reintroduce a new Forger app with a subscription based model. Maxon has also bought Pixologic. The makers of Zbrush. Which is the industry standard when it comes to sculpting on a desktop machine. Pixologic, just like Nomad had a one-time price, they increased the cost of the application as it grew in features but gave all users free upgrades. Again, the first feature Maxon announced after the purchase is there will be no more free upgrades and they will now switch to a subscription based model. See the trend? If you are reading Maxon, you have alienated users. Without hesitation the first thing you have raced to do it put...

I purchased the app at full price about a year ago then after a recent update they put my app to “Classic Forger” with no future updates. And created the new Forger with a horrible subscription model. Dear developers. Customers know when you change an app to a subscription model you are just greedy money sucking people. Just look at peoples reaction to the Adobe subscription model. And to change this for people who already bought the app is unbelievable. So basically I will move to Nomad sculpt.

Forger started off simple and allowed me to sculpt a few pieces but after spending a couple of days sculpting one piece it’s no longer allowing me access the file. I’m not sure whether it’s too big of a file for the app but I have plenty of memory on my device. Also looked for some advice on the forum to see whether I could retrieve it and that’s even faulty. So many hours of work gone to waste.

I’m interested in learning this software but I’m very definitely not interested in subscription. A word to the developers, please go and see what ordinary users and professionals feel about the Adobe subscription model and think again: because I am going to go to Nomad Sculpt instead before someone buys that out and makes that into a subscription app
